Leading by Example

NOAA leads in living shorelines work. We provide technical assistance on project design and siting, fund pilot projects to develop shoreline stabilization techniques, and conduct biological research to evaluate innovative techniques.

NOAA is promoting the use of living shorelines by installing living shorelines on our properties, as appropriate. The four examples described here show how NOAA is leading by example on our property and with our partner programs.
